Privacy Policy
What information is collected on this site, how it gets used, and the choices available over it.
WellnessPurely does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Scope Of This Policy
This policy applies to the WellnessPurely website and to the messages sent to people who create an account through it. It covers the information collected on those pages, the reasons it is collected, and the ways it may be shared or stored.
Using this site means accepting the practices described here. If any part of this policy does not sit right, the correct step is to stop using the site and to withdraw any consent already given.
Information Collected
Two kinds of information are collected. The first is given directly, through the signup form or a message sent from the contact page. The second is gathered automatically by the systems that serve the pages.
- Details entered on the signup form, including first name, last name, email address, phone number and a password.
- Details entered on the contact form, including the name, email address, subject and the body of the message.
- Consent selections recorded at signup, together with the date and time each selection was made.
- Technical details such as browser type, device type, approximate region, referring page and the pages visited on this site.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to run the account, to answer messages, and to send the wellness notes that were requested at signup. It is also used to keep the site working properly and to spot misuse.
- Creating and maintaining an account, including password resets requested from the login pages.
- Sending service messages such as enrollment confirmations, wellness check-ins, reminders and follow-ups.
- Sending marketing messages about programs, plans and resources where that consent was given.
- Replying to questions submitted through the contact page.
- Improving the wording, structure and reliability of the pages and the notes.
Text Message Consent
Consent for service messages and consent for marketing messages are recorded separately at signup, and neither is a condition of using the site. Message frequency varies with the areas selected and the activity on the account.
Replying STOP to any message ends further messages of that kind, and replying HELP returns support information. Standard message and data rates set by the mobile carrier may apply to messages received.
Sharing Of Information
Information is shared only where it is needed to run the service or where the law requires it. It is never sold, rented or traded for the marketing purposes of another business.
- Service providers that host the site, deliver email or deliver text messages, limited to what each one needs to perform its task.
- Legal authorities where a valid request, order or obligation applies.
- A successor organisation if the site changes hands, under the same commitments described in this policy.
Cookies And Similar Technology
Small files may be stored by the browser to keep the pages working correctly, to remember choices between visits and to understand which pages get read. These files do not reveal a name or an address on their own.
Browsers allow cookies to be blocked or cleared at any time. Blocking them may make parts of the site behave differently, though the reading material itself stays available.
Analytics And Measurement
Basic measurement tools record which pages get opened, how long a visit lasts and which link led here. The purpose is editorial rather than commercial, since a page nobody finishes is usually a page that needs rewriting.
These tools work on grouped activity rather than named individuals, and the results are never joined with account details to build a profile of any reader.
Data Retention
Account details are kept while the account stays open and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that consent records and support history remain traceable. Contact messages are kept long enough to answer them and to handle any follow up.
When information is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, it is deleted or reduced to a form that no longer identifies anyone.
Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Access is limited to the people and systems that need it to run the service.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute protection cannot be promised. Choosing a strong password and keeping it private remains an important part of protecting an account.
Your Choices And Rights
Several controls are available over the information held, and using any of them does not affect access to the reading material on the site.
- Requesting a copy of the information held about an account.
- Requesting a correction where a detail is wrong or out of date.
- Requesting deletion of an account and the information tied to it.
- Withdrawing consent for service messages, marketing messages or both.
- Unsubscribing from email notes using the link included in them.
State Privacy Rights
Residents of some states hold extra rights over personal information, including the right to know what has been collected, the right to ask for deletion and the right to be free from unfair treatment for using either one.
Requests of this kind can be sent using the contact details at the end of this page. Verification of the account may be asked for first, and a reply follows inside the period the applicable law allows.
Children
This site is meant for adults. Accounts require confirmation of being at least eighteen years old and resident in the United States, and information is not knowingly collected from anyone under that age.
If information belonging to a minor has been submitted, a message through the contact details below will lead to its removal.
Health Information Notice
The material on this site is general reading about everyday habits and is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Nothing here creates a clinical relationship of any kind.
Anything ongoing, painful or unusual belongs with a doctor. Existing conditions, medication and pregnancy should always be discussed with a qualified professional before changing food, sleep or activity.
Changes To This Policy
This policy may be updated as the site changes or as legal requirements change. The date on this page shows when the current version took effect, and continued use of the site after an update means the revised policy applies.
